Roachside Cottage

Peak District National Park - Upper Hulme, Nr Leek ST13 8UB

6 of us came to stay in Robert's lovely home. It was situated in the most beautiful location with incredible views over the countryside.

The cottage was very cosy and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were really comfy and the shower was great too. Robert was super helpful and very quick to reply to all our questions and gave lots of food and walking suggestions for our stay.

He was unable to meet us at check in but had really clear instructions for us and everything ran smoothly. We got to meet Robert and lovely Scout at check-out (sorry we were a little late!!). We loved our stay here it was a really fab weekend - the Roaches are beautiful!

Thank you!!!

Dear Rob & Scout,

Like you and many others, we have seen Mount Pleasant (Roachside Cottage's original name) deteriorate and it looked in a very sorry state, but look at her now!

You have made my Mum's and Auntie Kay's dream come true, to walk around this wonderful place was amazing. A beautiful, warm, cosy, very clean place to call home, if only for a little while.

Thanks for sharing your home with us and helping make some more memories to treasure.

Dear Rob, What a wonderful week we three cousins have had here. Great location, house and views and don't miss the sunset. We toured and visited; Ashbourne, Chatsworth House, Lyme Park, Biddulph Grange Garden, David Mellor & Emma Bridgewater Design Studio, too many tea shops and restaurants! Hope to see you and Scout again soon. Marie, Marie and Ann
Thank you! Great location - everything required is here. The bath vista is to die for!! Thank you again, great stay

Thank you to Rob & Scout for allowing us the pleasure of staying at Roachside Cottage.

The cottage is beautiful, cosy and immaculately clean. The extra touches such as the oatcakes made it all the more special.

We've had a lovely time relaxing and exploring the local area. Food at The Lazy Trout after a long walk did not disappoint and we welcomed the 9pm visit from the ice-cream van!! We hope to visit again soon.
