Roachside Cottage

Part of the living landscape of the Roaches

Peak District National Park - Upper Hulme, Nr Leek ST13 8UB

Our stay at Roachside Cottage surpassed our expectations! We have marvelled at your beautiful views and soaked in some very lucky sunsets. Thank you for sharing the magic of this historic and homey cottage with our family and all those lucky enough to stay here.

The hiking guides were very well used and much appreciated and we were fortunate enough to discover a few of the many hidden gems of nature round about the property.

We would love to come back and stay again one day. We wish you the very best in your venture - we can feel the heart you put into it!

This is quite simply a spectacular find!

We are so delighted to have had the opportunity to stay at such a beautiful cottage, on arrival we felt like we were driving into a postcard!!

The location is beautiful, nestling in front of the Roaches, a large rocky outcrop that sit's behind the cottage - if you enjoy climbing, and hiking/walking, you will have a fabulous time here.

Rob & Scout, were fantastic hosts, and couldn't do enough for us. The house is incredibly well appointed, and very clear instructions, and guidance on staying and using the cottage make for a very easy stay!

We can't wait to go back there, hopefully soon! Thanks again for your great hopsitality!

We had an amazing stay at Robert’s cottage. It was lovely and clean, very well stocked kitchen and a nice welcome package on arrival!
The views from the cottage are incredible.
Would definitely return!

Our second visit to this beautiful cottage.

We love this place!

Little gem on the mountain.
Absolutely perfect little cottage with its charm and character and the modern touches such as underfloor heating make it a real treat.
We travelled with a small family - bring a foam mat for the floor than the little ones can play without worrying. We took a travel cot there was plenty of room for it and a little travel seat for kitchen chair as currently in the weaning process! We used the local cheese in a vegetable stew in the slow cooker, the Staffordshire oak cakes for breakfast and the ales gifted to parents :) as they love ale !
Little touches made this place really feel like a home. The walks / hikes can be done with small children’s/ babies when using a proper sling and a back carrier, our three year old walks most of it all by herself !!!! Stunning sunrise and sunsets !!! Some mornings clouds where below us :) Thank you so much for our so much needed break having worked through the pandemic!
We will be back!
